Welcome

Morning is my favorite time to write. My brain isn’t in a hurry and I’m more relaxed and open to free-writing. I’m a collector of verbal and written ephemera such as overheard snippets of conversation, spam emails and offbeat news items. I’m attracted to what is dark, odd, mysterious and comical. Set in opposition with each other they create a wonderful tension that makes the poem memorable.

Although my painting and poetic work don't typically influence each other, I notice a common theme: An attraction to extremes and a desire to harmonize these opposites.
